Steve has taught my son both acoustic and electric guitar to a high standard, my daughter a few ukulele lessons, and myself guitar, and now both mandolin and banjo. He is extremely patient, never rushes, and the best person to me and my family. The fact I am still having lessons after three years, and progressed very well speaks volumes! I enjoy our lessons enormously, and would heartily recommend him to any age of person wanting to learn guitar or similar instruments.
I have been having guitar lessons with steve regularly for 10+ years. Not only is he a great guitarist ( having played with some famous bands eg With Davey Arther ie Fureys ) and has
expertise in rock, classical and fingerstyle but even more importantly for us mere mortals he is a great teacher. I only play the guitar for myself and sometimes friends. I always enjoy my lesson enormously and i beleive i improve all the time .I can highly recommend Steve whatever level you are at.
Always patient with his pupil , clear easy to understand and with every lesson taylored to my requirements be it to progress in a specific scale, or just to help with learning songs i wish to play.
Steve has made my progress over the 12 months not only fun but importantly to me a relaxing and enriching experience .
I've been having lessons with Steve for around 18 months now and have made great progress. Having been self taught for many years I didn't realise how much this had been holding me back until I took lessons. Steve is extremely patient and always manages to simplify the complex and break down seemingly difficult tasks into bite size chunks. Steve really knows his stuff and I can thoroughly recommend him whatever level your at.
I am a mature pupil of Steve's and have enjoyed guitar tuition with him for over 6 years. He has not only taught me the techniques but also helped me understand music and enjoy spending time with my guitar. I recommend Steve without hesitation. He is a passionate and patient tutor.
